User management
Authentication
Access to MBioLIMS™ requires authentication by username and password. Data transmission is secured through SSL technology.

Access rights to given data and functionnalities can be defined for each user through an administration panel.

MBioLIMS™ is built on a flexible system that can manage all kinds of samples : DNA, RNA, proteins, chemical compounds, ... Therefore, MBioLIMS™ can be adapted for use with different 'Life Sciences' projects.
Custom-defined fields
MBioLIMS™ is a highly scalable and configuration solution, through which new types of samples can be defined and customized with an unlimited number of fields.
Barcode integration
Samples can be stored in tubes, plates (96, 384, ...) or on racks, that need to be uniquely identified. MBioLIMS™ ensures accurate traceability of each sample by generating barcodes.
Sample genealogy
Aliquoting, pooling and derivatives operations are stored by MBioLIMS™, ensuring that the history of each sample, tube, rack or plate can be retrieved.
Sample location
A tracking system, fully adaptable to any organization, enables storage optimization and custome searching for the location of each sample, tube, rack or plate.
Process management
Project management
Lab experiments can be organized into projects, to which teams and managers can be assigned. Team leaders have access to management tools which, for instance, allows them to optimize allocation of resources.

MBioLIMS™ includes an integrated mathematical tool capable of simultaneously processing thousands of data points. It can also apply formulae and complex equations on the data and generate analysis graphs.
Parametric filtering
MBioLIMS™ offers the ability to define custom filtering criteria and apply them on raw and analyzed values.
Compatibility with third-party software
Data on samples can be exported in formats compatible with external software analysis (XML, XLS, SDF).
